EON NEXT ENERGY Will not credit my energy account with my payment

Hi, I paid my energy bill on the 2nd March however as of today's date EON still have not credited my account with the payment. I have checked with my bank and payment has gone to them, I have also sent them proof of payment. They have send emails and texts demanding payment for the bill already paid, threatened me with a late payment fine and poor credit score. After several emails (they don't seem to answer their helpline) they have say they have an internal issue and cannot credit my account. It's been over 2 weeks and they will not say when this will be resolved. In the meantime my account is now showing I still owe this money plus more since the start of March. It's showing I am hundreds of pounds in debit. I am assuming if I make another payment they will not credit that either? Any advice please? Thanks!
