Hey all,
I just found this out today as I was mucking around with facebook at work. If you log on, click on account, then the 'mobile' tab, you can set facebook up to text you every time someone pokes you/writes on your wall/messages you.
It's rather funky and very quick (less than 10 seconds from poke to text recieved).
Sadly, it looks like they only support the O2 network. However, it's free and good for those people who can't get to facebook at work.

Noo.. log onto Facebook on your PC, enter your details there. It will send a confirmation text to your phone with a verification number. You enter that (into the PC) and that'll sign you up0
