My Barclaycard statement date is today. If I make a transaction today will it get onto this statement and become payable in April, or will it go onto the May payment? I know it's a slightly grey area and even a transaction yesterday might not make it. But as planning a large purchase want to push the payment and get most benefit from using the credit card.

Hi
No, as its the place you shopped at that decides when they take payment and at times it can be over a week or more

In that case they'll have to wait until tomorrow, and then I can be pretty sure that the statement date has passed and teh transaction won't be payable until May. It's not especially clear if the cut off is midnight on the statement date or 23:59 or just whenever the machines gets to my account in it's batch run and picks all transactions on record at that point in time.0

With 99% of transactions it would be safe to do it today but I have had the odd one or two where spend in the morning and has been on the statement produced that night.

Barclaycard statement-are they issued on the same day as initial statement (or the next working day) — MoneySavingExpert Forum
Barclaycard used to produce statements very quickly, and the statement date was safe enough to know it would be kept back until the following statement.
They now take a couple of days after the statement date to produce the statement, which means they are able to finalise a lot more payments.
I wouldn't chance a big payment on the day of the statement.0 -
BC have strange process on statement generation. Why they can't just run them 1st-28th and stick to the same date every month I don't know. But anyway I can confirm my large transaction has not made my current statement by waiting until the day after so will get almost 2 months before it needs to actually be paid for.0
