Hi, I am forever leaving my bag behind in pubs, cafes etc … and I was wondering if there was some kind of alarm / alert device I could wear to audibly alert me when this occurs allowing me to quickly realise and recover my bag whilst still nearby .. a kind of separation alert if you like .. any ideas appreciated..

Yes, an iPhone0

Have a look at Apple AirTag that might be what you need0

I have done but that’s more useful for tracking after the fact than immediate alarm. The iPhone alerts are quite routine sounding and would sound like all the other notifications I get (10-15 per hour) .. and you cannot specify a different sound / noise for AirTag alerts ..0

If and when that happens you'll soon change your behaviour.1

An AirTag does exactly what you need.0

There are some very simple options that are used so you don't forget to take something with you and they can work with a hand bag equally well
Clip on a dog lead
A surfboard leash
Or swap the handbag for a shoulder bag1 -

hence the need as described. The alarm solution I want is to be alerted if I walk say 10 metres away rather than half way down the street
