    Giffgaff GoodyBags?

    Lebara Sim Only Deals

I have one of each in a dual SIM phone, different networks is good for coverage and different numbers allow you to use one for family and one other number to separate people you want to talk to and the others :#

I will only proceed if it is easy to set my spend cap at Zero, so that I do not accrue any extra charges. At the moment, if I try to call a premium number on PAYG it simply says I do not have enough credit. I hope that this will be similar if I set a £0 spend cap?

I am currently with Tesco Mobile (SIM-only) and they allow a spend cap to be set.  I have that at £2.50 (IIRC) and, if I try to do something that is over that amount, it prevents an excessive bill being accumulated as it just cuts off the service.  I understand that a spend cap of zero is possible - that being zero (or £2.50 in my case) above the agreed monthly rate.  I assume any other network that offers a spend-cap facility would operate similar to the Tesco Mobile.

SMARTY do not do pay monthly accounts and you cannot pay via direct debit. SMARTY offers prepaid plans that automatically renew each month and payment is taken via credit and debit card payments. You cannot get into debt with them and there are no credit checks either.
Smarty currently have an unlimited data deal on Uswitch at £15 per month which may be of interest to you.

They have roaming in 36 countries but you would need to check the data usage limitations while overseas (which applies in most cases nowadays).

Smarty have a 30day contract that you can leave anytime and i pay by Direct Debit each month, i am with them i admit you cannot get into debt with them because you can set it to 0 and there is no credit checks has you say.

I agree with welshpaul that I suspect you are giving a continuous payment authority by credit card or debit card, and not a direct debit using your sort code and account number. It doesn't make a great deal of difference but they need to give you more notice before taking a direct debit, and it is easier to cancel through your bank. Also you may need to update your payment method when you receive a replacement card or switch bank.
