Skipton bank website issues

I know i've posted about this before but i actually can't believe how unusable this website is. Whether I access it on mac or android, secret mode or normal browsing mode it doesn't seem to make a difference. I log in and it usually immediately logs me back out again! sometimes it gives me enough time to view the balance other times just logs me straight out. God forbid one day they are not near the top of the savings rates and I have to withdraw my money I think I might actually go mad!

I have been a Skipton saver since December & haven’t experienced any issues using my windows PC to log into the website, which I’ve done each month to make a debit card deposit to satisfy the Halifax Reward transaction requirement.
I also use the App on my Android phone & save for earlier this week when they had a problem which several people reported in a forum on here, that too has worked very smoothly.
Do you have any browser extensions that are triggering Skipton security?0 -

I might be worth testing it from a laptop. Have you spoken to their IT people? When I first started accessing Skipton online, I had to download the App as security thing and I've never had to use it since. When I first started accessing Skipton online, I had to download their App as a security thing and I've never had to use it since.

No the windows accessed website & Android App are totally different. For example earlier in the week when the App wasn’t working it was possible to access the website via my PC without any problems whatsoever, & to perform the transaction I wanted to do.
Also as Nardy said I no longer have to provide any App verification when I access the website. I see the picture I selected and the phrase I created to go with the picture. I then have to answer one of the security questions. Some might argue this isn’t sufficient security and 2 factor authentication would be better, but I’m confident only I know the answers to my security questions & would hope the system would prevent log in before someone (unless they were extraordinarily lucky) could randomly guess the answer to the question.0 -
Can't say I ever had problems with Skipton, either on my laptop (Win 10, now Win 11) or my iPhone.
Are you on the latest versions of OS? Do you use extensions, ad blockers, other modifications? My setup is basically vanilla.0 -
I dont have any special add ons that im aware of. I just think its bizzare it happens off both my devices which are different os. Do you think it could be something to do with the wifi set up that is he only common link. I could try it off 4g on my phone0

I just logged into the site via Safari on a MacBook (OS Ventura) and it’s stable for me.The site does have a menu option ‘Mobile App’, where it states you can only register the App on two devices. However I don’t believe browser access ‘counts’ as App use as it’s showing one device (not the MacBook) and one ‘spare’.
Occasionally, restoring or updating a device causes an app/service to create a duplicate device with registration (e.g. Kindle does this). You would need to be on the site via a browser to look at how many devices are registered.Fashion on the Ration

Are things working for you on 4G?
I am afraid, I am out of my depth when it comes to WiFi technology. Have you tried it with a cable connection, router directly to your laptop?
Though I have a vague recollection that some people with a specific ISP had issues (not with Skipton) with their banking apps. Can you try it over someone else's broadband connection, someone who is not with your provider?

I have also experienced nagging problems using chrome browser, log in buttons obscured by text - "chevron right" so on 1st each month when depositing with my Halifax debit card x 3 i have to remember to use Firefox browser.0

Just logged on using a family members wifi and seems night and day difference. My home connection is with 3 and is over 4g, no fixed line. Strange but must be to do with isp or ip address or something.0
