I found a manual for the timer/programmer. But I don’t see the device anywhere.

    I’ll search around again.

Have you checked they havent put it on top of the boiler? and all kitchen cabinets

Valid point but boilers these days don't have pilot lights (electronic ignition); more worrying is that the Tap symbol is showing but the OP states/suggests that even this does not cause the boiler to fire up when (assuming it is a combi) a tap is opened in bathroom/kitchen.  If the gas was turned off, and the boiler tried to fire, an error message would be shown - flame failure or similar.  Still comes down to there being nothing to tell the boiler that it is "on" and heat is required when the thermostat is increased.  Some thermostats only get power (assuming that it is correct that it is not battery operated) when the programmer says "you are on" and therefore no audible click will be heard as the relay does not have any power to operate it.  The instructions state it is battery operated. Might be worth continuing to contact the vendor for instructions and also looking in the loft for a router/relay box if it is in fact a wireless thermostat system - doesn't explain where the programmer/controller is though!  Really bad of the vendors not to leave full instructions for all the white goods upon leaving the premises.
    This might be useful: -

It seems to have an "OFF" position. with frost protection.
  • Hmm, found another programmer and this one does have the device fitted near the water tank.

  • Sorry, uploaded the wrong photo in my last comment. It should be this one below. I can see both sides are pointing to OFF.

I am going to turn it on by following the instructions.

I turned it on. Then boiler start working and also showing the radiator symbol finally. But then it stopped. I checked the boiler display again and it now shows F.32

Looks like some air system issue based on what Google says. I guess I need a heating engineer now?
  • This is what the boiler displays after I turned on the timer:

This is what the boiler displays after it running for a while and then stopped:

It may just be an error from lack of use. Unplug the boiler from the mains, leave a couple of minutes then plug back in. The boiler should go through the initialisation start up and this may clear it. When i do this with mine the fan then kicks in and it does some sequence to clear air from the system, then the boiler fires up

I don’t really trust myself to unplug and plug back the main.

I will just restart the boiler or reset boiler to see if it can back to the working condition. If it still shows F32 after restart and reset. I’ll leave this to professionals.

This boiler is 12 years old. Maybe it’s the time to replace with a new one?

    I’ll keep you guys updated.

That is a dual-channel programmer, but you seemingly have a combi boiler? I'm soooo confused :-(
You also have a 'power shower' switch, and that would only be available on a stored hot water cylinder system. Do you have a how water cylinder in there?!

Anyhoo, we'll park that for the moment! Well done - that looks like the baby; and only turn on the 'Heating' (RH) side for now - click it to 'ON' until you work out how to set the timings, and then you can change that to 'TIMED'.
