Cheers. Power to the people! I firstly need to see if the edf review team make a sensible adjustment. If not I will go into it deeper and ask for compensation. I need the money more than edf does and don’t expect to be punished for cutting down on gas use this Winter only for edf computer to average out my use as if I used gas the same last Winter, when I didn’t.Mstty said:If I was you I would write down every factual date/time of correspondence and meter reads, screen grabs etc of you entering your meter read.
Gather the data for the exact price per kWh and standing charges you were being charged and work out the whole bill for them.
Present this to them as a complaint and if they do not agree to correct the bill ask them to issue a deadlock letter. Express that you should not be doing all the sums for them and this should be their job and should have been an easy fix that they should have been able to quickly and easily sort out. Tell them some sort of goodwill would not go a miss.
Good luck2 -
What are the readings from Nov 21 to present on the latest bill including the estimated reads for the tariff change dates and your actual reads for around the same dates. It’s easier to give advice with the actual info rather than just guessing0

Justice prevails.
After several frankly daft phone conversations (on their side) with CS around the world and no one taking ownership I made a complaint and two days later got a reference and a promise of re calculating the bill using my read of March 2022. This has now appeared in my account. Or rather half of it! Up to March 2022 read bill done. The period from March 2022 to now is stalled as the reading their Morrisons meter readers took this week obviously isn’t recent enough 😂I’ve just read the meter for them again and sent it (and taken a screenshot of course) with a promise they will send the bill in two working days but I bet they won’t and will wait until April the usual six monthly bill time so keeping me in suspense about how they or their algae rhythm will divvy up the units. However now the March 2022 read is used they cannot go that far wrong 😑.So it was worth it. Thanks to those that showed support 👍

The problem was I did give them a reading and they didn’t use it.Alnat1 said:Start giving monthly reads in future and you won't have this problem againHowever suitably chastened by the experience rest assured edf will be getting more meter readings from me in the future than they ever dreamed of.1
