Changing link bank acc with Chip for Halifax Reward

I'm thinking of changing my chip linked account from TSB to Halifax, when my fiver period for TSB is up. I have to upgrade my Halifax acc to a Halifax reward account first in order to get reward of a fiver. It'll mean spendin £500 though . Has anyone changed their link account with Chip instant saver acc? When is the best…
