Our offer came through this afternoon. Yay. Hope you're in a similar position @femster82. Fingers crossed for you.1

We answered the question they asked, they confirmed they have the answers they need but still no update on their side. Quite annoying now.
But congratulations, did your tracker update or did L&C inform you?0 -

That states documents sent in are reviewed within 24 hours.
Mine had been sat with them for 48 hours.
I know this because I spoke to them before close of business in two days in a row.
Day one they said they had received the required documents and it would be checked.
Day two, they said they only got through the stuff sent in 15th March and it might be picked up today.
Hopefully it's picked up today. Not a big deal tbh, would just like to have a stress free weekend0 -

Would you mind me asking when did you submit your application?
Our broker submitted ours on Tuesday evening, and Wednesday morning, Skipton had requested for my and my husband’s latest P60.We’ve never had to submit P60s before and that’s got me spooked.0 -

Our broker submitted ours on Tuesday evening, and Wednesday morning, Skipton had requested for my and my husband’s latest P60.We’ve never had to submit P60s before and that’s got me spooked.
The documentation they requested initially was most recent payslip each and proof of deposit, for which I just sent the latest two statements from our savings account. The broker also sent copies of our passports at the initial application stage. No P60, no bank statements, nothing like that. I'm led to believe they use Experian Open Banking to deal with all that.
I have to say that Skipton themselves have been very good. I had to call them once directly, and the waiting times were short, and when I spoke to them they were knowledgable and friendly, and really quite helpful.
So end to end our application took 6 working days from application to offer, which is at the short end of their current timescales.
Worth mentioning that we are a simple case but not perfect. We are not self employed, we have a moderate income with a decent level of income to debt ratio (car finance, a credit card each with a manageable balance, no other mortgages, no loans, no defaults, no CCJ's etc)
I missed a payment on a store card by 1 day over two years ago, where I closed the account and they added interest thereafter that I didn't see on my account (silly me) but they didn't ask anything further about that because I declared it at the beginning of the process.
Our LTV is pretty high, 95%, but we are only borrowing 2x our income so not stretched or anything, and the affordability assessment was done pretty quickly, with a hard credit check the day of the application.

Basically, our salaries get paid into our respective personal accounts and then transferred to our joint one. Skipton were querying why our employers names weren’t showing in the joint account statements. (Thought this might have been something our broker should’ve caught/ highlighted from the start?)
Perhaps the cynic in me is taking over, but all these extra documents request is definitely getting me anxious!0 -

My case is super complicated due to being a contractor and there were so many questions going back and forth, not many documents were requested to be fair, just questions about the setup of my contracts. The good thing is my broker had a good relationship with Skipton so he could get other people involved as we sorted things out before we sent in the application. It just happened to fall into different hands.
As of today, only one more question was outstanding which is about my plans for my current property. The frustrating thing is whenever we answer the query it then takes them two days to come back to us.

But our broker asked in advance about this and Skipton only required employee reference. How long now since you’ve submitted your application? Hoping you get your offer soon!0
