I want to ditch Barclays, already hold an account or two at RBS, nowhere to turn atm who is paying! I have never known Barclays to offer anything, I think at one time there were points or something you could get with the blue rewards. With Barclays it is like getting blood from a stone, they don't offer cheque books or overdrafts easily.0

That's good to know should I need it in future - my experience was based on the recent Lloyds upgrade £200 switch bonusBridlington1 said:
But if you wanted to you could just switch a donor account to any Lloyds current account once every 12 months to get a 3 month 0% OD on that so you don't have to switch to a Lloyds silver account. See:PloughmansLunch said:
I've had a £2k+ Lloyds overdraft since the 90's. Only the 3 month interest free bit was snatched away from me after I downgraded, the limit is still in place but I now get charged daily if <£0 balance.dealyboy said:

Lloyds rescind this 0% overdraft if you downgrade your Silver club account post-switch.Bridlington1 said:
Bank of Scotland have an ongoing offer where they will give you a 3 month 0% overdraft whenever you switch a current account to them (no DDs required), as do Halifax and Lloyds. You can get this once every 12 months so you could do a switch to them for a bit of stoozing.rothesy said:I've done them all, often more than once. They only 2 banks I haven't received any switch bonus from Is Barclays Bank and the Bank of Scotland. These 2 never seem to do them! I'm sure if you apply to RBS, you will be fine. I got their £175 bonus in November. Natwest paid me £200 this week and am waiting on Ulster's £200.
Are you sure ? I downgraded mine yesterday to the Classic account and the information suggested you keep any arranged overdraft, and can amend it or set up a new one. BTW I didn't want one

In the past Barclay Blue rewards were very good. Barclaycard is sometimes offering a very competitive zero percent on BT with a very competitive BT fees for existing customer.[Deleted User] said:I want to ditch Barclays, already hold an account or two at RBS, nowhere to turn atm who is paying! Seems you need to have words with the site's ownerSection62 said:These weren't "bribes" though. The OP should note that In the UK it is illegal to pay or receive a bribe. Referring to a transaction within your financial relationship with a bank as a "bribe" is unwise, in a similar way to using the word 'bomb' when sitting in an aeroplane. Not everyone will appreciate the humorous intent.
