Overnight Power Reduction

Morning all,

I have Solar and battery (5.8kWh), and currently utilising Octopus Go's reduced off-peak tariff to charge my battery to 90% each morning, (an amount that reduces my peak consumption to practically zero) however, for the past 2 mornings my battery has only managed to reach 50% and 37% (the second likely due to having my dishwasher running).
Could this reduced power be due to the adverse weather conditions (Solihull has had c.10cm of snow)? Or could it be Octopus reducing the power forcing me to use more during Peak? Would Octopus have this level of control through my SMETS2 meter?

Hi - the power is essentially on or off so unless there was a power cut any issue will be at your end, possibly with the battery system, or maybe something is running and draining it?

Where is the battery located? If it is outside then the cold weather may have an impact, it would depend on the battery itself and it's charging process, though normally excessive heat and trying to charge would be the bigger issue. Anything else (washing machine etc.) would depend on how the wiring is set up.

It would not be that, and no they do not.
