    The file exists only on a separate encrypted USB stick and never on desktop/laptop/cloud.
    OH used to do this with a small USB stick, which was great until it went missing. I think it got caught up with the Sunday newspapers and went in the recycle bin.  Cue having to change a whole load of passwords etc and rebuild the info.

    We now have the file on an external hard drive wirelessly which is the size of a housebrick.

    It's interesting that nobody has said they have their accountant or financial adviser deal with that for them. Everyone seem to operate a DIY system.
    In my case it's because I am an accountant!
  • I am currently using YNAB to budget and I put the interest rate within the name of each account.

    I also put a red flag against each interest payment for the current tax year so I can see how much interest I have accrued.
