** FAULT ** Cloudflare/Vanilla problem causing duplicated threads

This is still rare, but has been happening increasingly often over the last 7 days or so.

When posting a new thread, on submission nothing much happens and you then get the error message shown below.

If you do what it says and try again a little later, it works OK but you then find the thread has been posted twice.

In these examples note the different (consecutive) thread numbers for the same content posted a minute or so apart, where the users have duped themselves.

Note that in most cases the lowest numbered thread is invisible to search (except perhaps, when a reply is also posted)





There are two issues:
1) The increasing number of faults with Cloudflare/Vanilla connections
2) The software should do better at detecting and preventing duplicate postings (I vaguely remember it used to try and prevent this)

This is still happening and I can confirm that the thread posted when the fault occurs is invisible to search unless a reply is posted.

3 weeks now with no response.

Problem still happening.

Now one month since first reporting this.

It still happens several times a day.

Now over 6 weeks since initial report and there hasn't even been an acknowledgement of the problem.

It is still happening - possibly more often as time goes by.

Happened again for me about fifteen minutes ago.

@MSE_James Is this problem being investigated? I don't know about other boards but it is a major problem on the Competitions time board causing many duplicated postings and threads that are invisible to search.

Strangely enough, since 2nd May when the new editor was launched, and since 3rd May when it was removed, I have not encountered this fault, and it looks as though other posters on Competitions Time have not had it either.

I wonder if it has gone and if so, what has changed.

Looks like this has started happening again. Two instances this evening.
This previously stopped happening when the previous update was wound back, now there is a new update the problem has returned.
