Are you the only driver and only person to refule the car?
So no - you're not the only person to have refueled it - and whatever you've been told re 'Managers car' you've no clue on it's use over the 9 months that they owned itagatwest said:It is a Volvo XC40 petrol fully compliant with Volvo servicing and only fuelled by myself. I am first owner as it was a Volvo managers car for 9 months.
And this - whilst it's an unexpected cost assuming it's £5k you're going to pay £250 for another years peace of mind (and potentially warranty thought you need to check)lincroft1710 said:I'd be quite happy to have a 3 yr old engine replaced with a new one for 5% of the cost (provided that was 5% of cost and installation)
Are you dealing with this via the supplying/servicing dealer ? In which case I'd be leaning on them for courtesy car whilst they fix it - especially if they're doing the repair work as well0 -
What requirement is that? It's been a number of years since it had to be main dealer service to keep a warranty.diystarter7 said:Hi
Did you buy it brand new?
What exact model and is it diesel?
Are you the only driver and only person to refule the car?
95% is odd number, not sure why they have done that
Does it have full volvo service history as per requirments
Have you looked up the net for problems like this?
Thanks2 -

But they can require a VAT registered garage & Volvo parts to be used, as well as keeping to their timescales for services.SpudGunPaul said:

To have a full Volvo service history. There's no requirement for it to be Volvo who do the work.born_again said:

To ensure that you continue to benefit from your Volvo Warranty you must:
5. Retain maintenance service and repair inspection records in the event that a question should arise concerning your vehicle’s history. If a service has been carried out by a non-authorised Volvo retailer we reserve the right to reject any claim where the cause of the defect is due to inadequate servicing or the use of non-original specification parts.
