Hi,do any of the heaters have a neon light that will glow when circuit live,or if you're up at 'kick in' time you could check to see if meter has switched to night rate.Your photie of meter shows 'Export' do you have solar?0

Hi,had a closer look at photie, is that a reset trigger below the screw?1

Is the meter showing/scrolling through multiple rates (e.g. a day rate, a night rate, a grand total and possibly the export mentioned)?
I would be tempted to call OVO (good luck!!!) and ask them to connect remotely and check the night rate is configured at all.

If it all worked before fitting of the Smart meter and it doesn't work after fitting of the meter, it must be the meter or its set up. Their excuse of not being able to test it it due to not coming on until midnight sounds just that, an excuse. There will be a way for them to temporarily switch over, maybe they just did not know or want to know! My first port of call would be OVO!

Years ago we (my dad actually) had his electricity meter replaced due to age. Luckily he had the foresight to set the heating to come on (it was midsummer) and lo and behold the heating came on and the electric tripped off at 1am. After about 3 attempts they managed to connect the wires up properly, after denying that it was anything to do with their handiwork.0

ThisIsWeird said:Almost certainly this will be something 'simple'. One of these meters/controls/clocks/whatevs is having a bad day. Very unlikely to be a wiring fault, and even if so, will likely be at one end or the other. But, no option is off the table! No idea what's controlling the timings of the off-peak in that setup - I don't know enough about it.
It appears to be correctly wired with LL NN and LLL from the meter and a splitter on NN to give separate 24hr and off-peak neutrals.
Almost certainly the meter is mis-configured and the off-peak is set to permanently off.
As it's a smart meter they should be able to reset this remotely for you.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.1 -
They failed before the meter change, read the op again.0
