Broadband at a new build flat - do i need to pay BT landline

Hi,
I'm moving into a new flat in a new development. I've been informed that the utilities set up for the development are BT. Therefore to connect to Broadband, does anyone know if I will need to subscribe to BT to gain access? I dont actually want to have a landline for anything as I have a mobile. I'm really just looking for the cheapest way to get the best broadband access.

Thanks in advance for all your help - am at a loss...

    I only remember seeing in most adverts for broadband that 'a BT landline is required'
    Someone might know otherwise

    You will need to pay line rental to BT as well as an installation fee of £125 (half price installation available if you agree to an 18 month tie in) to get broadband from any ISP that uses ADSL over a telephone line. Depending on your usage requirements, you may consider mobile broadband e.g. here.
