Well this morning an Openreach engineer arrived at my house. Nobody mentioned he would be coming. He said he had no idea why he was there - he had just been asked to attend the address with the notification of "damage". He said he doesn't get these call outs as he usually deals with non residential infrastructure. I gave him a brief run down of the problems and mentioned what you have advised may be the cause @400ixl and he just said "well, I can't do anything so I am going to have to cancel of this appointment as attended and you will have to log another call out"
I literally can not believe this is happening.0 -
Sounds like he is an infrastructure engineer.
Has BT said there is a line fault? I thought that been ruled out as an issue?0 -
They've said nothing. The engineer I book (and get confirmation of the booking by text) no longer turns up. Apparently there is some issue whereby the communication between BT and booking an engineer to Openreach gets intercepted so the Engineer never arrives. I think the one who came today was sent out by the Complaints Department who I am in communications with as he said he is able to book them directly. Well, it looks like he can book someone directly but they don't have any information, history or ability to help?0
