I quite like the embossed wallpaper. What’s wrong with me?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    I'm in!
I had a plastic tray stuck to the hall wall of my new place. Nope, no idea why.
I gently used a Stanley knife to start, then sawed with a bread knife (I eat sliced bread now) and between the two got it off with hardly a mark.

When we moved into our previous house, there was a purple drinks coaster stuck to the wall in the living room. We left it for ages in case there was a real horror lurking behind it that would have to be dealt with. When we finally prised it off and after much speculation about what it might be hiding, there was absolutely nothing to see...
  • They might be air vents that someone's put that board over to stop a draught.

You're right, they're covering air vents left over from when there was a gas fire.
