Staysure and some others state they may be able to cover you if you have undiagnosed conditions, but there will be many restrictions on what is covered. This from the Staysure website."
I have an undiagnosed condition or am awaiting test results:
If you have an undiagnosed condition that’s being investigated, then we may still be able to cover you.
We just won’t be able to cover any of your pre-existing medical conditions.
This means that you will still be covered for medical emergencies and cancellation, as long as they aren’t related either directly or indirectly by your pre-existing or undiagnosed conditions.
You’ll also still be covered for everything else – including baggage, lost money and passports.

Hi
Thinking logically about an "undiagnosed condition" - IMO no one may want to cover you as "undiagnosed is just that.
However, the insurance co's will ote diagnosed conditions and often not cover you for that.
An exmaple I can think of a few years ago, a lady work mate was going to the USA and was was awaiting an new appointment on a lefg she had operated on for varicouse veins years before, They insured her but said the leg would not be covered but I cant recall who the ins co was.
I'm pretty confident they wont cover you for undiagnosed but if it was diagnosed and you was waiting for an operation, they may, some may cover.
Try those insurance supermarket sites0 -

Have you actually spoken to these companies or just looked at their websites?
The extract from Staysure website helpfully posted by TELLIT01 seems to indicate that they may consider covering you.0 -

- DianeWhen you’re going through the process of getting a diagnosis, or undergoing treatment for a condition, you may feel that a holiday is just what the doctor ordered.
Find out what level of cover we can give you from pre-diagnosis to treatment and beyond.
When you’re ready, speak to our friendly team for free on 0808 281 6354 to find out what level of cover we can offer you.
Who can we offer cover to?
Before we can offer anybody cover, we have to first ask if it’s safe for you to travel.
If you can answer all of the following questions with a yes for everybody who you’re creating a policy for, then we should be able to offer you cover even if you’re awaiting a diagnosis or surgery:
✔ You are fit and able to undertake your planned trip.
✔ You are NOT travelling against the advice of a doctor (or would be travelling against the advice of a doctor had you sought their advice)
✔ You are NOT travelling with the intention of having medical treatment, tests or consultation abroad.Depending on where you are with your diagnosis and treatment plan, we may be able to offer you a varying level of cover. Where we can’t offer you cover, we may be able to signpost you to trusted insurers.
Have you asked them if they can 'signpost you to trusted insurers'?
Travel Insurance when Awaiting Treatment | Staysure™
From Allclear website:Your condition is undiagnosed, can you still get cover?
We need to know the name of your medical condition, so if you have an undiagnosed condition you’ll need to wait until your GP or consultant has given you a diagnosis. Once you’ve received a diagnosis you can proceed to get a quote. Your GP or healthcare provider may be able to help you if you have a currently undiagnosed condition.
I think you need to clutch at any straws you can find.0 -
We arrnaged travel insurance with Axa (through Amercan Express)
Some time later my developed symptoms which required husband a diagnostic test which was scheduled for after we returned from a holiday in Canada.
Out travel insurance at first declined all medical cover apart from accident.
However when our GP advised the name of the test involved they agreed to cover it for an extra £50.1 -
I am with Staysure with is an annual policy And had to declare undiagnosed condition.
Or rather it was previously diagnosed but then there was a possibility it may be something else even though the symptoms are the same.
Staysure have allowed my cover to continue but have now excluded anything that could possibly be related to the problem I have.Insurers are far happier with the label than they are without one because they know what to expect. You may need to decide whether to risk travelling or not, depending on what the condition is or what else they could theoretically tie into it if you did become ill.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I know Aviva will exclude it from their policy until a diagnosis is made but they will still cover you on everything else0

Maybe the issue with getting insurance is that the OP is travelling to the USA.
