Try the full total factory reset via the service menu- the one where you have to rejoin samsung,com and re-authenticate youtube, ITV player, 4 player, iplayer etc. and retune everything. If I recall, you have to play tunes on the full remote after the TV has been off for at least 5 minutes to get the service menu.

I can't find my remote, it has the key presses on a slip of paper inside the battery box, but t'interweb suggests you press

info settings mute power

in sequence and the TV comes on and loads the service menu, then choose option and then factory reset.

I bought a new TV, and did the full factory reset on my infuriatingly useless old one before I sold it, and the new owner hasn't had even a nanosecond's worth of trouble- looks like I could have saved £1000 by just doing the reset and all the re-authentication

Meanwhile I discovered on the new one that there is an option not to start with the smart hub and it comes on with whatever I was last watching
