Bit of a old school techie problem.

Bit of a old school techie problem.

I got a DVD box set of Lost, second hand. Have been watching it on my laptop with a plugin DVD player.

First 3 seasons have played perfect, just started season 4 and it won’t run season 5 and 6 are the same, won’t run. All discs are in perfect condition.

Any thoughts please as I'm now left up in the air half way through.

I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

Yes have tried that and the first 3 seasons still work ok.

Are the discs for the same region? Just in case someone’s been playing silly beggars with them.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

The discs attempt to run in the DVD player, sometimes I get the opening page on the screen but it freezes, sometimes I just get a grey screen.

The player has been running fine. I’m at a loss.

Do you have another DVD player you could try them in?

Also, is the laptop DVD drive region 2? It may be that if it's say region 1 it'll play a certain number of out of region discs, and then refuse to play any more, but still play the initial ones.

Unfortunately I don’t have another DVD player, the one I have is a Oakcastle ED100 and should be multi regional according to what I have read online.

    What software are you using?

VLC will play DVDs quite well.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
