I have received a letter from DCB Legal Ltd from The County Court Business Centre demanding money or i will have a CCJ against me . This is for parking in a parking space in a block of flats i was working in . The PCN is from way back in March 2019 and i dont own the car concerned anymore also they have spelt my surname incorrectly on the paperwork (only 1 letter out) the rest is correct along with my address . Do i ignore this County Court as my name is not correct ? Or do i make a defence ? Acknowledge i was the driver at the time etc ? Thanks in advance for any pearls of wisdom .

Is the parking firm UKPC?
You MUST NOT ignore this. Ignore the misspelling; this claim needs defending with our help.
What's the DATE OF ISSUE top right?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

OK and you've read the NEWBIES thread and done the AOS to buy more time to defend?

Bertrum123 said:Issue date 16th Feb 2023With a Claim Issue Date of 16th February, you have until Tuesday 7th March to file an Acknowledgment of Service but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Tuesday 22st March 2023 to file your Defence. That's nearly three weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.2 -
UK Parking Control Limited are the claimant. So i have until Tuesday the 7th to acknowledge ? The fact they have spelt my name wrong is neither here nor there i guess ? Is there not a limit on these thing 4 years ago seems a bit bizarre ?0

In England and Wales they have six years to raise a Claim.Bertrum123 said:Is there not a limit on these thing 4 years ago seems a bit bizarre ?1 -
All of these are from years ago. All the same!
Copy & adapt the UKPC one by @Johny86 and change para 3 to a vague summary saying you are having to guess from the location given that this is about an old PCN from a time when the vehicle was in a bay with permission of a resident whilst the Defendant was working at the premises (explain what you do for a living).
Easy!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
