As bank have reopened the account. Perhaps best to talk to water co & see what payment method they will take. Or if they are just going to increase the payments to reclaim the refunded back (Winner for you as you will get a bit of interest)Life in the slow lane0

Going back to this point, I'd have thought that it would make sense for her to contact the water company and to confirm that the matter has been resolved by the bank, so if she repays the missing payments immediately, will they refrain from reporting the issue to the credit agencies? It may need a bit of apologetic humble pie, but missed payment markers on credit files are best avoided if possible....paulfcb said:She's been told by the water company that these missing payments will give her a bad credit rating.2
