Get broadband 'new customer' deals by switching householder named in the account?

I live with my partner and our broadband contract is up for renewal. Better deals are available to new customers than existing ones, even after haggling.
Could we obtain the new customer price if I close my account and my partner sets one up in her name?
And in principle could you keep doing this forever by swapping account holders every two years?
