I can understand 24 month contracts with phones, my biggest gripe with mobile contracts is the sim only plans.  Most seem to only offer the sensible plans on 24 months for those too. (Eg. all of EE’s decent data plans were 24 months minimum last time I checked)

Looking around for a new contract myself, since EE have indeed hit me with a big rise too, and there’s plenty of better deals out there (they blather on about being the best and most reliable.  Not in rushmoor they aren’t, especially when i’ve been waiting over 2 years since they built their 5G masts and they’ve still not turned them on I dont trust their continued “any day now” will happen.

Only £3 a month more for 30 day compared 24 months. So £72 over 24 months.

    Not very MSE. 🤣

    • Gift data to all the family
    • Excellent speeds, max. 100 Mbps
    • 1 month plan
    • Unlimited minutes and texts
    30 day £31
    12 months £30
    24 months £28

Mind you even the 30 day has this disclaimer. So even they still go up each year.

*The monthly price shown, add-ons and all out of bundle charges will increase on or after 31st March every year by the Consumer Price Index rate of inflation published in January that year, plus 3.9%. See ee.co.uk/increase for details. Please note the cost of other services you take from us may increase or decrease while you're an EE customer.
