May be worth getting someone on your side of note - eg. If your contravention is of interest to the consumer body "which", then I believe if they take it to TS, that TS will normally investigate.

It's a subject that has been featured on the BBC and discussed in Parliament!

It depends on whether non compliance with "thou shalt operate in a particular way" is illegal or unlawful.

Is a contravention of Consumer Law not illegal?

I might try snail mail though. At least I'd be freed from the 2,250 character limit! Is their address on their website?
Just remember T/S is funded by your local council. So they are at the brunt of cutbacks. As they are a non emotive cut. Unlike other services.

If T/S were to take every breech of the consumer rights. Then you would be waiting even longer for action then going through the courts.

    Yeah, I get that thanks.
I wouldn't be looking into involving TS if it was a trivial matter.

Trading Standards are highly unlikely to get involved if just one or two people complain about something.  They are interested predominantly in large scale operations.  They simply don't have the staff to act on every instance of a trader doing something they shouldn't do.

If it has been discussed in Parliament and no action taken what are TS likely to do?

Perhaps worth sharing further details on here so that posters can offer suggestions about how best to approach it?
