Defence Systems Ltd T/A Park Watch at Newton-Le-Willows Railway Station - Cancelled by Merseytravel

I recently received an invoice from the above PPC, who are a member of the IPC (former BPA members, and their signs still state they are).
Anyone who has parked at Newton-Le-Willows recently will know how bad the markings are, and that the disabled spaces on the opposite side of the car park from the actual station (I know, very accessible!) are being converted to standard spaces. The disabled symbol had been burnt off unsuccessfully so they looked like they were still disabled only.
I didn't know this until I went to take some pictures and bumped into the warden, who I had a chat with.
In my case, the driver had a choice of 'disabled' or electric car charging bay. They chose the electric car charging bay and I received an invoice for £100, despite the Merseytravel terms and conditions on the sign at the entrance stating any parking charge would be £60.
Following the advice of the newbies thread, I made a complaint to Merseytravel via their online complaints form. I am pleased to report they have cancelled the invoice after admitting their markings are horrendous, and the PPC have also apologised and re-briefed their staff.
This case is yet another example of the power of a complaint to the landowner, and as the PPC was an IPC member I don't imagine any of my appeals would have got very far.

Well done and Plan A really does work
Park Watch were clearly fast asleep on the job1 -
@corner_taken_quickly Just as a matter of interest, why was the PCN issued? Was it for parking an EV in the EV charging bay (was it a rapid or fast charger) or just parking in the EV bay? Why didn't you park in the Blue Badge bay?1

@B789
The charge was issued because I parked a non-EV in an EV charging bay.
I didn't park in the former blue badge bay because the marking hadn't been removed properly and it still looked like a blue badge bay. There were plenty of other chargers available so I thought better to park there than take a blue badge bay away from someone who needs it.0 -
I appreciate your honesty but, as an EV driver, your ICE'ing an EV charging bay is a sin that no confession or penance can alleviate and you will be forever damned by the EV community.
Good news that Merseytravel was not as unfeeling as the EV community.2
