Update...so ford have offered 22% 'goodwill' towards cost of repair which is estimated by Ford to be c£10K (worse case). Van has done only 35,000 miles, we have had it 3 years (mileage was 15,000 at purchase), still got 1 year left on the finance, full service history/correct oil used. We are a small business and this could ruin us. We can't afford to get it repaired even with the supposed goodwill, and whether it's worth bothering to repair anyway given it's current market value I'm not sure. Any advice as to where to go from here? You cannot appeal Ford's offer so I'm thinking motor ombudsman? Any advice appreciated, just such a nightmare:-(0
