In my area I call around the local suppliers and for the last two fill ups Boiler Juice has been cheaper. As others have said, the oil is then delivered by a local supplier who were dearer when asked direct.

It is always worth also checking the price on heatingoil.co.uk which is Certas's own site.  I usually find them a couple of pence cheaper than BJ and direct suppliers in my area (South West).  AFAIK Certas are a national supplier but maybe not the most competitive in some areas of the country.

    Have you checked:

    www.directoil.co.uk

    www.fueltool.co.uk

    http://theheatingoilclub.co.uk/

    https://www.oilnrg.co.uk/

    www.oil-club.co.uk

    https://certasenergy.co.uk/

    as well as local suppliers?

If wondering about future trends, why not order from a company that allows you to cancel the order up to, say, the day before delivery....?
