Virgin Broadband

Hi, so there is going to be a price hike from most providers. Just wondering whether it would be best to cancel in my wifes name, and then join as a new customer under my name in months time maybe? I suppose Virgin will be well aware of this trick?
Cheers

They'd see the same address and cotton on in a hot minute.

Sorry. Have you tried looking at smaller local providers? E.g. Upp, Lightspeed, whatever is in your area? Otherwise get a quote from another provider and haggle.

I think if it were that easy to dodge the hikes then everyone would be doing it. Unfortunately, I am sure that Virgin and other providers will have measures in place to stop people doing this.

Best thing to do would be to call them and tell them you're thinking of leaving and shopping around and have seen better deals. Try and get some leverage over them to offer you a better deal to stay.
