You should see it paid in and then paid out to your bank if it's not appearing as staying on your bill. Some suppliers seem to be just paying it to customers. Does seem a bit strange they would do it and leave a debit balance.
Can't you just transfer it back across?0 -
Can't see where it's paid in to ovo it does appear on my bank statement £67 paid in from ovo

the problem is your not looking at your actual bill. your looking at a snapshot of your account because you billing dates are the 6th feb to 5th march. important to no theres 2 differnt things going on. one is the refund and the other is the gov payment. there completely seporate things.
1. ovo refund you from your dd a few days after its cleared. thats what your seeing and why you are in 'debt' because your dd is just 67 less than it 'should' be.
2. then the gov payments happen on the 1st of the month. that means your last bill would have the 1 feb payment and this bill will have the 1 march payment.
just wait a few days (maybe Friday) and it should show up. or wait until your bill is generated and you should see it there on the second page.

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.0 -
will check again but still don't get it

what don't you get? look again at what you pasted and you can see your not looking at a full month.ROY47 said:will check again but still don't get it
so you have had 67 refunded from your dd from ovo into your bank.
but the 67 from the goverment to replace it in your energy account wont be paid in until after the 1st of the month (wed)
so you will see both on your bill. which will be generated after the 6 march because thats your billing date. but until then it will look like your down 67Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott

I really do admire the endless intervention of the people here who have been so helpful in trying to reassure people that they are not being fleeced by their energy supplier. Same perceived problem over and over is explained away time and again. I have no problem understanding my own bills however I can appreciate some do but I really don't have the patience of some of you stalwarts of the forum. Thank goodness the EBSS has come to an end for now! You can all take a well deserved rest!1
