This amounts to a financial "You're dead to us" decision, and it is clear from the letter that anyone getting the same will have great difficulty opening accounts with LBG in the future.
It makes me thinking twice of doing another switching to Halifax Reward Account even though I saw a new switching offer.

I don't have anywhere near such a complex setup, however, I do have one Club Lloyds MS and one ordinary MS at the January rate which I was thinking of closing so I can open new ones at the higher rates.
I'm thinking twice about that now, BUT I originally came to this thread with a question, so I shall ask it anyway: with the HBOS accounts, people have mentioned renewing early into an Everyday Saver account (and then opening the new MSs). With the Lloyds ones, does it work the same way or do you just close the accounts? I can't see an option on mine to renew them.

It's on the right hand side in online banking, it can't be done via app.Whatever you do don't select "close account"1

When weighing up renewing to the new rate, consider renewing to the higher rate & put the LBG ytd RS proceeds in your personal pension - gain the interest and the tax relief?
Especially if you have the headroom in 2022/3.1 -

I've tried several times, over a few weeks, using both WiFi and mobile data, but it's always the same, so I doubt that it's a slow connection at fault. It works fine online though.0 -
Just to clarify...sorry if answered up thread...
Has anyone successfully requested a withdrawal to an external account from the BoS Reg Saver?
It appears to give the option of entering external payee details, but the blurb seems to suggest you can only withdraw to another existing account.
I don't want to close, just withdraw some.How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -

@Sea_Shell
Don't see why not, but you could also transfer via your current account0
