Rofl, But @Bridlington1 along with other people contributing in this forum are still alive feeding the forums with tricks / infos that you can not get it from the TCs or CS.TBH for some people it saves a lot of your times as it takes time to experiment / try yourself in the first instance.
For balance, worth pointing out Bridlington1's thread about having all their LBG accounts closed with effect from 18th May. (no criticism of Bridlington1 intended or implied)

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6433933/lbg-closing-all-my-accounts-on-18th-may/p1

This amounts to a financial "You're dead to us" decision, and it is clear from the letter that anyone getting the same will have great difficulty opening accounts with LBG in the future.
I have got a handful of Halifax Reward Accounts paying a nice "monthly dividends" also reasonable number of LBG Monthly savers paying a nice interest rates. It is hard to get your account closed by LBG as they frequently have a nice product offers.
It makes me thinking twice of doing another switching to Halifax Reward Account  even though  I saw a new switching offer.

Thanks for posting this link, I've just had a read and it's certainly a bit scary.

I don't have anywhere near such a complex setup, however, I do have one Club Lloyds MS and one ordinary MS at the January rate which I was thinking of closing so I can open new ones at the higher rates.

I'm thinking twice about that now, BUT I originally came to this thread with a question, so I shall ask it anyway: with the HBOS accounts, people have mentioned renewing early into an Everyday Saver account (and then opening the new MSs).  With the Lloyds ones, does it work the same way or do you just close the accounts?  I can't see an option on mine to renew them.

It's on the right hand side in online banking, it can't be done via app.

Whatever you do don't select "close account"

When weighing up renewing to the new rate, consider renewing to the higher rate & put the LBG ytd RS proceeds in your personal pension  - gain the interest and the tax relief?
Especially if you have the headroom in 2022/3.

The renew option is under apply > savings & investments. I got as far as choosing the Easy Saver to renew into before it stalled, although this could possibly have been due to a slow mobile internet connection.

Like you say, the renew option is there in the app, but it doesn't work for me either. I can get so far, but then I just get a white screen and it won't go any further.

I've tried several times, over a few weeks, using both WiFi and mobile data, but it's always the same, so I doubt that it's a slow connection at fault.  It works fine online though.

Just to clarify...sorry if answered up thread...

Has anyone successfully requested a withdrawal to an external account from the BoS Reg Saver?

It appears to give the option of entering external payee details, but the blurb seems to suggest you can only withdraw to another existing account.

I don't want to close, just withdraw some.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

I haven't with BOS but did do with a Club Lloyds monthly saver last week so I imagine it would work on BOS.
