PIP review

As like poppy my last PIP award does reference previous PIP awards.
I did sent a few things that were copies of what I sent last claim, whether needed or not I felt better doing it.
My reasoning was if I didn't sent it and award dropped or reduced I would have been annoyed with myself.
All my previous awards were for 2 years, in my last PIP review I did emphasise on how my condition will be staying the same for the foreseeable future. With the now current one it's a 10 year review, so it certainly well worth making a request for a long award.

Fair enough, I'll amend my post.poppy12345 said:Spoonie_Turtle said:they won't have paperwork from a previous claim, they'll only consider what you send them. That wasn't the case for both my daughters reviews last time and the time before that. She had a paper based decision both times and they did mention the previous award. For the last review she had, i sent the form back with all the information and i received the decision letter about 10 days later so it didn't even get sent the health assessment providers. The decision letter referred to her previous award quite a few times. For my review last time, also paper based, they also mentioned my previous award quite a few times.Review forms used to say that they didn't want to see any evidence you'd previously sent, no idea if that's still correct.
That's good to hear.HillStreetBlues said:As like poppy my last PIP award does reference previous PIP awards.

Thanks. I did a phone call about the claim from the DM, I know it was the DM as it stated on the decision letter "during our phone call"Spoonie_Turtle said:

From a personal point of view it shows how important taking a call was. If the DM couldn't have contacted me I would have ended up having another medical assessment and the pitfalls that involves.

A report should have the date and award for each activity, from the last PIP report. So if you have had more than one it will not the last one only.HillStreetBlues said:As like poppy my last PIP award does reference previous PIP awards.
In theory the assessor does not need to look at old evidence, as this has been assessed in the previous PIP report, however if you have ongoing care, they may look back to compare the new evidence.
OP if your PIP assessment was a couple of years ago, then all the evidence you provided should be upload onto your profile. This will show previous assessments, PIP 2 forms etc.Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.

Would that also include any tribunal decision overturning a flawed assessment?peteuk said:HillStreetBlues said:As like poppy my last PIP award does reference previous PIP awards.

I believe it does, I am sure i have seen tribunal outcomes. If an assessor looks at it is another matter.

Thanks for all your comments, it’s been useful.
in terms of evidence for the review.
Has anyone ever sent in a copy of the assessors report as evidence? Or would this muddy the waters?
thanks0 -
You don’t need to send the assessment report for your current award because they will already have a copy anyway.1
