Can an Octopus customer log into the page for the "Wheel" and check if there is a reference to T&C?

Referral Scheme and Other Marketing Incentives: I think that the ‘nays’ have it.
- From time to time we may offer giveaways, marketing incentives and fun promotions and offers ("Promotions"). Thank you all for taking time to reply. I'll try to explain it all to mum, very difficult for her to take in when she's adamant that she had the winning screen. She's seen the "sorry not this time" one often enough.
I think maybe someone like watchdog might be a good thing to try, as well as being poor pensioners, mum is full time carer to my bed bound dad, just to add to the sympathy!
I'll read through all your replies again, and compile an email to the ceo at least. I'll try and manage her expectations though.0 -
Just tried to help by looking back a month on my internet history to see if I could look in on the spinning wheel page last time I visited. Unfortunately it just takes you to your Octopus log in page.0

Thanks again all, I'm sorry if someone other tech savie pensioners might have been offended. The post is about my own mum, who really isn't able to do much other than email and Facebook on her computer though! We bought her an older type flip phone, with no Internet as she can't use touch screen phones... I'm certainly not pensioner bashing here.
I live hundreds of miles from them, and many a time try to talk her through stuff over the phone. She definitely wouldn't remember how to do a screen grab on her hand me down iMac, and yes I will mention this on the email I'll send to the CEO.
We will try that next and see if we get anywhere. Will keep the thread updated.3 -
I do wonder if this is a local interest story, worth mentioning on one of the Octopus twitter posts. No harm bringing it to their attention over as many mediums as possible.michele-p said:Thank you all for taking time to reply. My mum whilst on a call to Octopus mentioned spin the wheel as a bit of a joke saying she has spun it 30 odd times and won nothing and it's a bit of a con and asked how many do actually win. The CS agent said that it is nothing to do with Octopus and is operated by a third party on behalf of Octopus, not sure how true that is.
But without proof it would be very difficult to prove I guess, grabbing a screenshot a good little tip if I am ever lucky enough to win something in future. End of the day it's free to play, a bit of fun so octopus under no obligation to pay out, having had dealings with them previously and been offered compo and their recent waiving of fees I don't think they would argue over £500 if genuine, it's probably some glitch.0 -
