Hi All
I created a will using an online company but I can't remember who with.
I cannot find the hardcopy of the will.
I think it was recommended by MSE in 2018 but I can't be sure.
I corresponded with the company through email and received a copy via email.
Unfortunately I accidentally deleted old emails.
Has anyone any ideas of how I can trace the company please/

Frankly I would suggest you start again and this time use a local solicitor to do it. This is one of the most important documents you will ever make and you should not penny pinch on it.6

Id concur with Keep. If you know you received the signed will but now cant find it, it’s pointless perusing to with this company. Just start again.2

When we bought this house, we were already paying the solicitor so much money that a bit more for a Will drawn up & stored locally was barely an issue. When my husband died last year, I was able to phone & then walk & fetch it.
I made & kept the appointment to update it & my sons know exactly what's in it, where it is & who to call to get the original.
For the sake of your beneficiaries, for anyone you leave behind should you get hit by a truck or a heart attack, have the vital paperwork clear, and easy to locate. If you have Any concerns, nail down that this is your last Will etc And it revokes all previous ones. (This may be included by default but feel free to ask for it to be in there for your peace of mind.)3 -
Any professional who writes a will without these clauses in it shouldn't be in business!DigForVictory said:If you have Any concerns, nail down that this is your last Will etc And it revokes all previous ones. (This may be included by default but feel free to ask for it to be in there for your peace of mind.)Even with that in place, it's still important to destroy any previous wills. If someone dies and the relatives find an old will but don't know that a later will has been written, they would take the old will to probate. If the newer will later comes to light, it can cause all sorts of problems for the executors and the beneficiaries.3 -
OP, how did you pay? If online you will have a note of the payees name on your bank or credit card statement, or if by cheque, the payees name will be in the cheque.1

If you made payment by an online bank transfer the payee may still appear in your ‘payees’ list in your banking app.Fashion on the Ration

I thought that but it turns out that the CO-OP bank only charges £10 for 4 or more statements!Marcon said:

I would still make a new will, on line wills might b3 OK for a simple cash only estate but I would not touch them for anything else.PhilH1948 said:
