Please can someone give me guidance on scanning QR codes on my Galaxy Tab A Android Samsung tablet?

If I have to download an app, which one is safe? Thanks.

Tried Lens, resulted in listing most common qr codes eg bbc etc.

Dabbing the "take picture" , nothing.

I need to be directed to a Web site by the qr code.

that was just a google search I did, just go into play and make a choice, easy enough uninstall if not happy.
