N180 queries/Help!!

Dear those that have helped so far.
Without boring you 5 years ago we received a ticket in a free car park run by UKPC at Coppins bridge car park in Isle of wight (a busy retail/cinema /restaurant car park for 350 cars) supposedly for leaving the "site" some passengers walked to a river 50 yards from the parked car but not the driver. At that time we followed recommendations to ignore the ticket that wanted £60 supposedly driver left the site.
I followed the Newbies thread to the letter - subject access request - photos of parked car/ticket/follow-up charges etc - no evidence of the driver leaving the site. I used the template to file a defense and also put in about the size of signage/height of signage and no car park markings to delineate the site regardless the driver went in to find details of cinema showings and into several stores before leaving.
Right to the limit DCB have emailed to share their completed N180 to suggest the court would send one to us and to offer to settle out of court but only within 7 days of receipt of email Monday 21st Feb . In their N180 they have not indicated that they will be bringing anyone other than themselves as witnesses.
Whilst feeling "wronged" and on safe ground, it would be great to get some reassurance that I follow step 2 of the thread ie no to mediation/ no to settlement/ask for a court near us, etc . It is amazing how wobbly these awful letters/emails/threats make you feel in terms of the intimidating approach.

Yes ignore the N180 they sent. Either wait for the court to send you one or download one yourself.
Your MCOL history will tell you if the court has already sent you one.
There is a thread by @Grizebeck on how to complete the N180.
No to mediation, don't be phased and stick to the advice given here.
No wobbling and No paying. You will get all the help and advice you need from the experts here.3 -
Hello and welcome.
Just keep following the process as described in the second post of the NEWBIES thread.
I cannot recall any 'driver left site' case being won by the parking company.3 -
I am willing to eat my hat if this ever gets in front of a judge and even then, if the feckwit eejits at DCB Legal and their client dipsticks UKPC were stupid enough to let it progress that far, you would not only win but enjoy the spectacle of them being given a virtual spanking by the judge.
You can guarantee that my hat will not be eaten as they will discontinue at the last minute. Just read this thread: DCB LEGAL RECORD OF PRIVATE PARKING COURT CLAIM DISCONTINUATIONS2 -
Very sad that trained lawyers would use a court system to frighten and intimidate- thank you B789 for sharing the thread. Thank you KeithP will follow the thread and thank you Boat to Bolivia!!2

The parking firm won't win anyway, if the nearest court you'd choose is Southampton or Newport IOW.
Good Judges there...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi
just got General Form of Justice or Order from Northampton CCBC asking to fill N180 form
I have done a moneyclaim form already and paid £35 court fee
Amount claimed £259 Court fee £35 legal £50 total £344
this is what i put as a defence
When I received a first letter from debt collectors I thought it
was a scam because I always response and pay a tickets or
penalties that I receive and didn't recognise this one as it was
from more than 4 years ago.
I don't even own this vehicle any more and when I had it I was
only diving it occasionally as it was my spare one.
It was borrowed more to others than used by me but I don't
remember now who was driving it at that time. Since I realise it
wasn't a scam I don't want to be prosecuted for something that I
haven't done I am willing to pay a parking fine that was made
agains a vehicle I owned that time and I believe it wasn't more
than £40.
Thank you
I did not fill a form sent by email from Gladstone
Any help with filling N180 please?

And filling in the N180 is in the Newbies thread already (every question) so no questions about that need to be asked on individual threads.
Ah, I see you did:
