Britannia Parking problem

I received a parking fine from Britannia Parking. I appealed to them directly showing my Ticket and credit card proof of payment. They refused this as my Reg number was not on the ticket. It only printed one digit from my reg plate. I have appealed  via POPLA and lost my case. What should I do now as I thought proof of payment would have won the case?

Wait to see if Britannia or (more likely) their solicitors send you a formal Letter of Claim, or you receive a court claim via the Northampton CCBC - come back on this thread if you receive either. You can safely ignore any debt collector letters.

Have you complained to the landowners of the car park?  They can kill it dead.

HI Umkomaas  , No solicitors letter yet they do threaten a bailiff action if I do not pay. What happens if the bailiff turns up demanding the £100 payment? I thought they cannot use a bailiff yet as they have not yet taken me to court?.

Rest assured no bailiffs are going to turn up at your door.

If a bailiff turns up, you will have already been to court, lost the case and failed to pay the amount ordered by the judge. So just more debt collector BS designed to intimidate the naive and ill informed.

    That's impossible.

Did Britannia offer to settle at £20 before you appealed to POPLA?

@bevemery33flintway have you read, re-read and read again the Newbies thread near the top of this forum? Please do so and get yourself fully informed of what is involved in getting these scam invoices cancelled. You will also learn the process and steps involved.

Once you have done that you will know about things like this is not a “fine” and calling it such just legitimises these scammers. You will also learn about bailiff threats and how they are designed to make victims poop their pants and pay up. You will also learn the county court process and what happens when and what cannot happen until something else has happened before that.

It’s a steep learning curve but you can rest assured that 99% of claims that are defended with advice received here from the experts and victims who thoroughly read the Newbies thread win or have the case discontinued before ever reaching a courtroom. The 1% that lose is usually due to not having read the Newbies thread thoroughly, not followed the advice or just gave and paid for the easy life.

    Are you a 99 percenter or a 1 percenter?
Good grammar adds tone and nuance to the "written" word which is normally perceived in the "spoken" word. Without good grammar, you can be perceived to be an idiot or a fool without ever uttering a sound.

Just received in the post this morning from Britannia Parking a letter requesting I pay the £100 .It says to avoid further escalation to make payment within 28 days. If this notice is ignored it will be passed to a debt recovery Agent which may escalate to court proceedings to recover the amount owed. An additional amount of £70 will be added to the parking charge notice in the first instance of further action.
