Samsung S22 battery

Hi
I need a new phone to replace my Samsung S7 and am a bit undecided. With EE and usually buy outright separately and go with a low data/cost Sim only deal.
What makes it difficult currently is finding a decent phone that isn’t huge. Good to see Samsung now reducing the base S model size though and was wondering about the S22 battery life.
General reviews seem to suggest it’s not as good as the previous S21’s.
I’d go refurbished to save a bit.
Any experiences appreciated.

Not sure how good the battery on the 21 is/was?   I just got my wife a 21 Ultra (she takes a lot of photos and got it for the camera).
The battery life is horrible, it'll lose 20+% overnight doing nothing when it's in deep sleep.  Check an email, battery loses 2%...

It'll be going on Ebay next week and she's going back to Xiaomi (my 11 Ultra loses 2% overnight).

    Thanks for the reply.
Yes. That’s what concerns me if I get refurbished.
Maybe best to stick with a new midrange one with a good battery life.
  • Also another thing if you buy directly from EE it will have there soft wer on it to you'd best. Buy from Samsung or car phone as there phones are unlocked so you get updates direct from Samsung but also if not having the greatest then you could get a pixel 6a

The 5.1 update appears to be helping the battery life. Only updated yesterday, but looks promising. . .
