TV Licensing not sending any more paper documents

I pay the legalised theft by direct debit on an annual basis. I've just got my latest (paper) licence and it includes a note to say that they won't be sending any other documentation until such time as the licence fee changes. The printed licence expires in 12 months' time. If it was an open-ended licence, then no problem. However, I object to this tactic just so they can save sending out a letter. I refuse to deal with them online and I want a paper licence every year. I'm contemplating stopping the DD and paying by SO instead, but I wonder whether even that will force them to send a paper licence. Any ideas?

I have paid my Licence by direct debit for a few years. After Decembers payment I would have started to pay for this years licence due in June. I have stopped my direct debit for that exact reason. I also want a paper licence.
I would presume that if we carry on with a TV licence from June then we would get another paper licence. Not sure if we want to carry on watching live TV or using the I player.
Just been on the Licence site and you can still ask for a paper licence.3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds1 -

'Legalised theft' - I can't think of a better description without resorting to profanity.
What a welcoming place this is! I think I might just call it a day on this 'forum'.0 -
Writing to them is a quick answer to your question, "Any ideas?"The option offered by Merlin139 while practical would be of no use to you as you don't wish to deal with them online.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0

I do not agree with the TV license, I do not watch live TV, I do not have a TV license. I do not feel that it is "legalised theft" though.
It is also entirely irrational to choose to require one, but to refuse to pay online.0 -
I can't remember when we last received a paper license and we don't pay by DD.
I do agree that if you want a service then you should pay for it. Except for the elderly - I do think it's dreadful that so many of them now have to pay for what may be their only companion day after day. I for one would be willing to pay a bit more to ensure those over a certain age (80 maybe?) had a free license. Then again maybe I'm just thinking that so that I'll get a freebie eventually.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. I fail to see the issue? The licence is available online to view/download if needed. Why would anyone insist on a peice of paper being posted for them to file for a year? The resources this takes could be better used elsewhere I believe.0
