My kids are the same age and they pay slightly lower than this (£350 a month) with clean licences, no points. It all depends where you live and who you are. Doesn't matter what car as the quotes are all the same. As an example, couple of years ago on their first car insurers wanted £5,000 a year on a 2010/2012 suzuki swift or similar small car, it cost £4,000 a year on a 2 year old BMW 1 series M Sport. It's been the same since, not worth buying an older car as the premium is more than the car.
