Mobile Operators Call Centres

Options
Anyone know if there are any mobile operators with UK based call centres - including piggyback operators?

I have a really difficult time with foreign accents, especially when the problem is compounded by poor VoIP connections to places like India/Malaysia etc, background noise and my age-related hearing problems.

EE is completely UK and Ireland based. I think 1p mobile is too.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂
  • RWG is Wales-based, which is almost in the UK.

The Phone Co-op (now called "Your Co-op Mobile") are based in Oxfordshire with a technical support team in Manchester.

They are used to dealing with elderly customers, specialise in Doro and Emporia handsets (designed for seniors) and took over what used to be the Saga telephone service several years ago, so should be capable of dealing with senior aged customers well. I remember being able to ring back and ask to speak to the same person a while ago when I had an issue with line renumbering.

Might suit what you're after, but they're not the cheapest, but that doesn't sound like your priority.

I wouldn't call RWG's a call centre!!! I have an image of a small office above a chip shop somewhere in the middle of a very small Welsh town but I might be completely wrong!!

That’s very patronising, condescending and wrong.

You can look them up on Google Street View. It’s a modern office building, looks exactly how you’d expect a cask centre to look.

It was slightly tongue in cheek and based on the fact that they seem well intentioned but a little bit disorganised based on my experience.

I knew what you meant, having spoken to their customer service by phone before the "small office above a chippy" is exactly the impression I got from them too. Their email customer service is very good though, small office or not.
