My experience with Amazon is very positive.  I bought a heated pad (big brand) and it stopped working just before the first anniversary of the purchase.  I emailed them and they sent a replacement immediately but didn’t want the first one back.  Exactly the same thing happened with the replacement so they sent me a third.  The same thing happened with the third so I had a phone chat with Amazon and between us they decided there may have been a design fault.  They gave me the details of the U.K. manufacturer and I sent it to them.  

They decided I was using it incorrectly ( good joke, my husband had examined it as he was a retired electronics engineer and I had worked with much more complicated things when doing my Physics degree  ).  They repaired it and sent it back.  I contacted Amazon and they were pleased but decided to refund the original cost of the pad (about £35) because of the problems I had.

That’s what I call customer service  .  I am a good customer, I buy tons of things from them and have never returned anything and only had one problem with delivery.  I don’t know if that helped
