phone mast near flat

It does look like a microwave link below the mobile masts. Though I think microwaves are highly directional, so even if there were health hazards, you'd need to actually get in the way of the link.0

I rather like masts in an aesthetic way so it wouldn't put me off. I like wind turbines too and pylons (though I'm not sure I could be doing with a pylon in my back garden).

Though I think microwaves are highly directional, so even if there were health hazards, you'd need to actually get in the way of the link. The issue as I see it is someone has spent a lot of money building a very robust platform capable of taking multiple communication systems. This isn't a typical 'mobile phone' mast which, even with a microwave link, could be provided by a monopole-type mast. Although the picture quality is poor, that equipment appears to be all which is currently installed. In the OP's situation I'd be asking who the mast belongs to, why they invested so much in providing such a large/robust structure, and what plans (if any) there are for additional equipment. The OP has asked reasonable questions, they don't deserve the 'tinfoil hat' type comments. In slightly different circumstances, if they went ahead and purchased the flat only to discover the mast suddenly grows microwave antennas pointing in all directions, I'd expect the friendly folk on this forum to ask "Didn't you see the huge mast at the end of the street when you viewed?". The OP is doing the right thing by noticing and asking before buying... I feel the reaction from some people in the thread has been disappointing.7

I'm not an expert but presumably if they emit anything of concern healthwise, they wouldn't have been allowed to build anything habitable round the foot of it..?
I know people go on about developers and the nonsense they get away with, but surely this ain't that.Honi swanky malyponze. Or something.0 -
Some antenna rely on line of sight (which also might help identify what yhey carry). Is the flat at the top of a hill or are there a lot of tall buildings just out of view?May you find your sister soon Helli.

IF that mast worries you, then don't under any circumstances buy a mobile phone, and if you have one already, then absolutely do NOT turn it on and put it up to your ear.tiger135 said:i dont mind visually just wondered if there was any health risk from the close proximity to it, it obviously transmits and receives signals over a long distance?
The RF radiation from your phone stuck to your ear will be several orders of magnitude greater than the radiation from that mast at that distance.1 -
Or store it near your gonads...ProDave said:

Does the price of the flat reflect the fact that you’ve got that mast nearby? As it has put you off buying the flat it will put other buyers off if you ever try to sell it.0

I only see 5g and small links, but it will fill up, And other buyers will be asking the same question when you come to sell. Also what's the green boxes along the road underneath , are they containers stacked 3 high?1
