Qatar flight delayed by 19 hours

Hi
My  Qatar flight from Manchester to Hyderabad (India) was delayed by 19 hours.  I wrote to Qatar twice about delay and compensation, they apologised and are refusing to pay compensation. I know I am entitled to £520 compensation. Qatar is not part of ADR scheme. Any advice?  Do you know any solicitors, companies dealing with such cases.

How do you know you're entitled to compensation, i.e. have they accepted that the reason for the delay was within their control?

There are a range of ambulance-chaser companies that'll be happy to pursue these claims for you, in return for a healthy slice of the proceeds, of which Bott & Co are probably the most prominent, but if it's self-evident that you're due the money then small claims via MCOL is cost-effective if there's a UK address to serve to....

 This  flight  from UK was delayed by 19 hours and according to guidelines the airlines do have to pay. They apologised and then closed the case.Thanks

They aren't always obliged to pay (even for long delays), hence my question about the reason.

An operating air carrier shall not be obliged to pay compensation in accordance with Article 7, if it can prove that the cancellation is caused by extraordinary circumstances which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken.

What was the reason for the delay?

Was this around 19 January when MAN was closed due to heavy snow fall?
