I have switched to Sky last year and receive an email to say my broadband will be increasing by £4 and I can leave within 30 days. If requests after 30 days then early termination charge will apply. Thats the way I read it.
Has anyone else received the email and rang sky to disconnect? Any good offers provided?
Also if request to leave I need to give 30 days notice. I need to switch my broadband to another provider.
Thanks

You only need to give 30 days notice normally if you don't want to move to another provider (ie cancel the service altogether). The other occasion you give some notice is that you intend to move away under the 30 day notification window, and then you move provider (this doesn't necessarily have to take 30 days but you'd pick somebody else and sign up with them).Note that if you say nothing and just move away anyway, then your exit fees will apply. In this scenario you need to tell them you're going before you go to avoid them, I believe.0

I had an email today notifying of £8 increase between phone, BB, TV and mobile. Rang to xan. The only offer was a dearer offer by another 3 pounds. I've given my notice as I only re negotiated end of last year after retirement and needing to consolidate outgoings.0

My TV increase is £2 which I cannot cancel,
Broadband increase is £4pm which is within the minimum term so can cancel. What about if they give me discount of £4 I am obliged to stay then? Just making sure before I call them. Thanks0 -
My Sky bb is going up from £24 to £29…percentage wise that’s a lot but I still think it’s not too bad a price. Trouble is after years of hassle with BT bb, I’ve found Sky to be absolutely brilliant in terms of no dropouts and Wi-Fi coverage through the whole house so I’m loathe to leave. My bb and tv contracts end early May so I’ll see what the tiresome 18 monthly negotiation ritual brings…0

I've not been notified of a sky bb price rise (checked spam) but I see from the my sky app that my 7 April bill is going to be £29, its currently £25. That's +16%
I'm going to call them and moan this week and be prepared to switch0 -

They said I needed to switch first and then inform them. So I went ahead and initiated a switch to EE last night and then I informed them (again) today to confirm that I have notified them within 30 days of their price increase email. They just said they can see the service has already been cancelled and there is no early termination charge on the account (yet??). I've also received a cancellation email from Sky saying a letter will be sent in the next few days. So I'll report back if it does show any charges there.PS. My Sky prices were to increase from £42 to £45 per month. Weirdly, their best retention offer was even higher at £48/month for a new 18 month contract. No thank you!0

I did it by the text service it took a while to have someone text back but they did confirm that I could leave without penalty even though there was 12 months left on my contract. So would have been paying £32 for UF1 and now will be paying £17 for Vodafone 500Mb. (I have include cashback and vouchers as well as £5 discount for being a Mobile user in he £17)
Can't port my number for some reason but decided its about time I ditched the landline anyway8kw system spread over 6 roofs , surrounded by trees and in a valley.0 -
I’ve just switched my dad’s broadband to Now broadband. £22 a month plus £68 cashback
through TopCashback. Tried to get a better deal with Sky on both live chat and over the phone but no luck. They confirmed no cancellation charge for moving mid contract.0
