HI, please does anybody know the answer; a few days ago, my wife parked our car at an RCP site. She then proceeded to buy a parking ticket. So we are all good so far; however, as she has shut the door, the ticket, had been flipped over, and my wife has not noticed. She returned still not seeing it, then a few days ago we received a parking fine, a fantastic photo of the back of the parking ticket, and a £60 fine. RCP is stating as the ticket was not displayed correctly, we have to pay, is this correct.?  My wife no longer has the ticket, as she never knew it had happened until the fine came through. please, can anyone help?

    What's a RCP site?

    There is no fine.
All you have seen is a speculative invoice.

    • All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's
    • When on someone else's be it a road, a pavement, a right of way or a property there are rules. Don't assume there are none.
    • "Free parking" doesn't mean free of rules. Check the rules and if you don't like them, go elsewhere
    • All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's and their rules apply.

As above read the newbies thread, and try and establish the landowner.
As for Pirate car parks, if that is a typo then its quite an apt way to describe Private parking company's
