RBS Digital Banking asking for customer number EVERY time

Does anyone on here use Royal Bank of Scotland digital banking? If so are you prompted to enter your customer number every single time you log in? This is happening to me now despite the fact I tick the check box that states the system will remember your customer number next time you log in. Previously I was only ever asked for the customer number as a one-off if I had cleared out old cookies from my PC and any subsequent login skipped that part. It is really annoying as RBS don't appear to have any kind of human tech support to ask - the Ask Cora digital assistant is as much use as a chocolate teapot unless you are asking a run of the mill question like 'how do I get a new bank card'.

Yes I use RBS Digital Banking.
Yes I am asked for my Customer number each time I log in.
Yes I consider it trivial and not worth further consideration.4 -
I use RBS digital banking and find it perfectly okay. Having worked with numbers all my life I actually don't find it hard to remember my RBS customer number - not a dig by any means but at my age I do try to keep my mind working with stuff like this.I also use the RBS mobile app which is very easy to use and with fingerprint technology it is a doddle. Naturally it does have limitations of course such as a daily limit on outgoing payments.2

Do you use a DNS blocklist of any sort? I do and I had to whitelist *.rbs.co.uk to avoid this issue.0

Maybe they set it that way to stop someone gaining access should you lose or device is stolen.

Do you clean your cookies from time to time, automatically or manually?0

I find it's normal for RBS, and don't see it as a problem. It's not a difficult number, as the first 6 digits are date of birth and, in my case at least, for RBS, NatWest and Ulster, the later 4 have been very simple, beginning with zeros!1

Thanks for all the replies. At least I now know it isn't just me affected.0
