understood, so UKPC haven't passed the debt on as they're the ones suing, in which case is there any weight in me speaking to UKPC. My thanks for your help
None whatsoever. They are not M&S or John Lewis with a friendly customer orientation. Even if you manage to get through, they will just refer you to DCB Legal, the solicitors they are paying to now deal with this on their behalf. Unless you enjoy maypole dancing, don't bother!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Then let the letter with the court action role forward so I can bury them. The fact I had a residents permit (which i've still got for record) should make it a slam dunk for me!

    No.

As I advised, you must respond robustly to DCBLegal.

  • The only thing I have gone back to them on so far was the defendant form on their website highlighting:

I am seeking debt advice but I deny any debt and the case must be put 'on hold' for not less than 30 days under the PAP for debt claims 2017.
I have sent your client a SAR
Also requesting they confirm my correct address as I've highlighted in the DPO email 2 years ago

Should I do more then that for the time being, LoC issued 30 days ago today

This is not a fine it's an invoice that UKPC claim you owe them, they have not and cannot sell on the"debt" as there is no debt it's just a claimed debt.
UKPC will continue to press for the money they claim you owe them and use all sorts of tactics until they either give up or it goes to court.

Of course you must respond with more than that; your evidence and your dispute.  But as it's 'on hold' you can do your substantive response towards the end of the 30 days you already bought yourself.

  • Thanks, so I have all the information from the SAR that was sent across sometime ago, I then add

    Proof of being a resident
    Proof of having a permit
Emails from the flat owner issuing me a permit
One ticket said that the permit wasn't properly displayed - so they're almost admitting the ticketing officer could see a permit
One photo from the SAR of the sign which doesn't actually highlight where it was in correlation to where the car was parked

Is there anything else that should be 'generic' as defending the issue that I have missed?

Do these people actually have an email address, I've searched high and low and the only way I can contact them is by filling some form out on their website.

My thanks for taking the time to help me out and reply, I do appreciate it given the free advice

Obviously, just searching this forum will give you email addresses people have used.

  • Okay thanks, will take a look, hopefully the fact I filled in a defendants form on their website will still afford me the 30 days

Hi All, I've received an email from DCB Legal acknowledging my email / defendant form I filled out, asking me to confirm my full name, first line of my address and Postcode, all pretty straight forward which I guess I should reply to...

Should I use this as the platform now to send over my defence (pictures of the parking permit I had) proof of me living there etc.. etc..

    Many thanks for your help
